Sam works as a project manager for a restoration company implementing low-tech, process-based restoration strategies. Her day-to-day is a mix of high-level permitting and design work, punctuated by the distinct joy of dragging heavy woody debris through difficult terrain with the crew. She is driven by a singular goal: to set riverscapes on a path to self-sustainment so she can eventually put herself out of a job.
