Jason Strauss
Board Secretary
Jason has always felt at home in the outdoors. Growing up in Quebec, he fondly recalls seeing beaver everywhere he’d hike and canoe through the backwoods. He began his professional life as a wildlife biologist, working at the Quebec Wildlife Service studying Greater Snow Geese on their northern migration.
With life’s twists and turns, he moved into the corporate world to support his growing family. For the past four decades he has been a director of NEP Inc, Neptronic, a privately held manufacturer of humidification equipment, electric heat, and controls for the commercial and industrial HVAC industry.
These days he’s slowly transitioning out of the business world, eagerly devoting more time to his love of wildlife. Having learned about the plight of beavers in the Pacific Northwest, he’s become an avid advocate for their protection and is committed to helping beavers back to the waterways as they once were, bolstering watershed health, especially in this age of drought and climatic instability.
